There are even more vampire films in the works for the next two years. I found info on several other releases not mentioned on my list at ComingSoon.net, including Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead, which features Ralph Macchio of Karate Kid fame!
I've updated the list to include the movies I found on ComingSoon.net. It's really hard to find a complete list of all the upcoming vampire films, so I'm trying to compile everything in one place for movie buffs. Feel free to let me know if I've left something out.
ombbbbbbb cirque day freak is going 2 b a movie!!!!! i need to raise my allowence to see all of those :) and is the lost boys 1 a sequal to that 80s horror flick with keffer sudlen??? ombbbbb this is awwwwwsome!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, Lost Boys: The Tribe is a sequel to the 80s film.
Despite the April 17 date, I'm constantly updating this list as I receive news of new vampire films. Let me know if I've missed any movies in the works.
Fun! Thanks for the list! :)
You're welcome.
What about including the original "Let the right one in", Låt den rätte komma in? :) The trailers look really great.
The original Let the Right One In is already on the list (see the 2008 section). I just included the U.S. remake on today.
I've posted the trailer for the original version here.
Thanks for this list, I wasn't sure if anything would come up in my google search!
I am a bit disappointed though that most of those seem a bit on the cheesy side. I just finished reading Twilight and can't wait to watch the film. I'm surprised The Lost boys are going straight to DVD, I'm pretty sure there is still a huge fanbase out there for them.
Also looking forward to Underworld, although it's a shame they couldn't keep the same lead character.
My eyes nearly popped out my sockets when I spotted 'The Historian' though, I loved the book and I can't believe they're making a film! I can definitely seeing it being a good one.
nuvonova: I'm glad you like the list. I'll be updating it by the end of the year.
Yes, unfortunately cheesiness and vampire films tend to go hand in hand. Twilight was enjoyable--although it had its own cheesy moments (ie, the sparkly skin scene), too. I'm really looking forward to seeing Let the Right One In, as far as 2008 releases go.
the informers? lol
I haven't seen The Informers, but I read that one of the stories involved a vampire. Is that not correct?
