Let the Right One In--trailer, website, release date

The Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In is finally making its U.S. and European debut, aside from the festival scene. I've been hearing about this one since the movie won the 2008 Founders Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival. If you stop and think about how few vampire films actually win awards, you'll understand that's quite an accomplishment. Here's a quick synopsis from the press release: "Set in the dark winter of Sweden, a love story unfolds between a 12-year-old boy and the vampire girl next door."

The movie will open Friday, October 24, 2008, in Los Angeles, New York, and Sweden. I've posted the U.S. theatrical release trailer below, but if you can't view it or you want more info, check out the Let the Right One In website. (NEW: Here's a full list of release dates). Luckily for me, the movie can also now be put in one's Netlfix queue! Our babysitters are moving to Saudi Arabia, so we're more dependent on Netflix than ever.
