The English-language trailer for Blood: The Last Vampire is now available, and it looks like the film will be released in the US in July. Blood is the tale of the 400-year-old daughter of a vampire mother and a human father who uses a military mission and her samurai skills to hunt down an evil vampire patriarch--all the while looking like a 16-year-old girl. For more release dates, click here, and head over to SonyPictures.com for the official website. You can find the trailer below, as well as a sneak peek of the CW's upcoming take on vampire teens, The Vampire Diaries.

I have been dying to see Blood since I saw a preview a few months ago! Loved the anime.
Do we know when Vampire Diaries is coming to CW? Looks like it may be good!
These both look like fun. For better or worse (most likely, both) Vampire Diaries looks like Twilight on the small screen. Should it take off, methinks that might offer hope for a third season of either Blood Ties and/or Young Dracula. One can hope, anyway. And that means in Johnny Depp's movie version of Dark Shadows proves a hit...heh heh.
Blood was a good manga and anime; but the last feature length anime has me a little nervous about this new live action version. It seems that they are drifting further from the original story every time.
As for the TV show; from that preview it looks alot like a combination of Twilight, and Vampire Kisses. Not sure what one came first, and I don't feel like looking it up right now. Not likely to watch it myself though.
