So. . . What Happened to Music Mondays?

January 31, 2012, will mark the fifth anniversary of Suburban Vampire. Five years of blogging about vampires!!!

During my second year of running the blog, I started a feature called Music Mondays, and up until this past month, I remained fairly diligent about featuring a different vampire-related song every single week.

Well . . . times have changed, my beloved vampire friends. I finally sold one of my novels (the whole point of starting this blog to begin with), and I'm now balancing my time between writing a new book, preparing for my upcoming revisions, and blogging here, at my writing website, at The Lucky 13s, and at a potential new site. Oh, and I'm also raising two kids.

To help juggle everything, I need to cut Music Mondays from my schedule. I'm keeping my entire archive of Music Monday posts at a page called Vampire Music Galore, and I'd still be happy to feature newer musicians who've released a vampire/Gothic/Halloween-ish song and/or album.

I've also streamlined my interview procedures so I can continue hosting guests without spending such a large portion of my work week formatting and editing posts. My submissions policy is listed on my contact page.

In short, I'm not giving up the blog, and I'm going to do my best to keep it entertaining while still devoting the bulk of my time to my fiction-writing career.
