No Longer Updating the Site

Dear Vampire Friends,

I've had such a blast bringing you interviews, giveaways, and vampire news over the past 5 1/2 years, but I'm afraid this will be my last post for the blog. I'm swamped with preparations for my upcoming book release, as well as my new writing projects and a new blog I just launched for YA and middle-grade historical fiction.

I will try to keep my Upcoming Vampire Movies & Series list up-to-date, but that will probably be the only signs of life you'll see over here. However, my archives will remain available, so feel free to peruse past posts. I've had so many wonderful authors, filmmakers, musicians, and actors stop by to visit over the years that I'd hate to bury their words for good.

Thank you for hanging out with me here in the burbs!

As the creator of WebTV show "Vampirism Bites", I wanted to thank you for your support of our show, and wish you the best on your upcoming book release!

See you on Interwebs!

Thanks so much. One of my favorite things about running the blog has been supporting indie series like yours. I'll miss doing so.

Bummer! But I know what you mean--there's only so much time in each day. See you over at your Cat Winters site!

I guess all good things must come to an end sooner or later. Best of luck on the upcoming book and future endeavors. Your contributions to the dark side of the net will be sorely missed.

Ara: Only having so much time in the day is exactly what led to this decision. Thanks for joining me over here from the very beginning...and for helping me with my newest adventure!

Vampires: Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm not leaving the dark side of the net behind entirely. My upcoming novel is all about ghosts, séances, and the strange Victorian/early-twentieth-century trend of sitting for spirit photographs, so I'll continue to share my love of the paranormal and horror in other haunts.

Aw, considering I had my first author interview on this site, I'm a bit sad. But I've not had a large internet presence either, and can completely understand about time. Looking forward to Blackbirds!!

Thanks, Nicole! This was definitely a bittersweet decision. I met so many wonderful people through this blog and hate to lose my connection with some of them. I'm hoping people will still visit me at CatWinters.com. Even though I discuss ghosts more over there, I haven't lost my love of vampires.

I will miss this blog, I enjoyed it so much. I totally respect you for moving on to prioritize time for your other interests though. Best wishes!

Thank you, Carrie! This was a tough decision to make, but it is definitely allowing me to better prioritize my time.

What this Blog is about said...

I wish i would have found this blog earlier! What great insights and conversations. Its good to see you still check back periodically though. Until now the only decent vampire site has been tied to my favorite book "The Son of the Dragon" which is kind of in line with a lot of the thoughts here. The blog doesnt get a ton of traffic but the author is always commenting and he has some great ideas. Sonofthedragonnovel.weebly.com if anyone is interested
